Your data

Privacy

Boxing Scorecard is a scorecard you keep on your own phone. There are no accounts, no cookies and no adverts, and nothing about you is sold or shared.

Last updated 25 October 2026.

What stays on your device

  • Your finished cards, including the fighters' names you type and your round scores.
  • Your round notes.
  • The fight you are scoring right now.
  • For a fight from our schedule: whether your card joins the fans' card, its random card number, and whether you scored it live or as a replay.
  • Your preferences: your "Scored by" name, the rounds and round length you last used, whether the bells are on, and which card view you last used.

These are kept in your browser's storage on this device. They never leave it unless you choose to share a card image or save a backup file, apart from the round scores and result of a card on the fans' card (see "The fans' card" below). Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes them, so back up now and then.

Counting visits

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit. It uses no cookies. Vercel tells one visit from another using a hash made from the incoming request, and discards it after 24 hours. Vercel says it collects nothing that could identify you or follow you across other websites.

With each page view, Vercel may record: the time, the page address, the site you came from, filtered query parameters, your approximate location (country, region and city), your device's operating system and version, your browser and version, the type of device (mobile, tablet or desktop) and the version of the analytics script.

This is taken from Vercel's own documentation: Vercel Web Analytics: Privacy and Compliance. Analytics only runs on boxingscorecard.com.

One event: a finished card

The first time you finish a card, the app sends one event, scorecard_finished, with two details:

  • result: how the fight ended on your card: Points, Draw, KO, TKO, RTD or DQ.
  • fight: the fight's reference from our schedule (for example 2026-10-17-hale-okoro) if you picked it on the home page, or just "manual" if you typed the fight in.

It is sent once per card. Editing a card and finishing it again doesn't send it again.

Never sent: your name, the fighters' names you type, your round scores, your round notes, or anything else that could identify you.

The fans' card

When you score a fight from our schedule, your round scores can join the fans' card: how fans scored each round, shown to everyone as counts. At the top of fight setup, "Add my scores to the fans' card" is on. Switch it off and that fight stays on your phone only. The choice is fixed once you tap Seconds out.

What is sent, as you score: the fight, each round's score, whether you scored it live or as a replay, and how your card ended (the winner, how, the round if it was stopped, and both totals). Each card gets a random number, made on your phone, so that an edit replaces the round you sent before. The number is used for nothing else and links to nothing about you. Our server adds the country your request came from, as two letters, and the minute it arrived.

Never sent: your name, your round notes, the fighters' names you type, your IP address, or anything about your phone or browser.

Once sent, a card stays in the fans' card: it carries nothing that identifies you, so there is nothing to remove. Deleting a card from Your cards clears it from your phone only. Fights you type in yourself never join.

Cards are stored in a database in London run for us by Supabase. Only our own server talks to it.

When something goes wrong

If the app hits an error, it sends a report to Sentry, a service that helps us find and fix faults. A report says what went wrong, which screen you were on, and your browser and app version.

Reports go through our own server first, which passes them on without your IP address, and Sentry is set not to store IP addresses. The error-reporting code keeps nothing on your phone. Sentry keeps reports in the EU.

Never sent: your name, your round notes, the fighters' names you type or your round scores.

Our host

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes your IP address to deliver the site to you and to keep it secure. Vercel keeps a log of each request (the address asked for, your IP address, your browser's name and the region it came from, never what was sent) for one day. We don't store any of it.

Boxing Scorecard is run by Engine Intelligence Ltd, London.
